Showcasing Dynamic Art and Performance at PIT

Tim Engelhardt

The Allegheny County Airport Authority and the PIT Art in the Airport program believe that the arts add value, meaning, and connectivity to our lives and are a vital component of public spaces. The Arts & Culture program at the Pittsburgh International Airport aims to elevate the visitor and staff experience with diverse art installations and engaging performances throughout the airport campus. We are dedicated to showcasing dynamic art and performance produced by local, regional, national, and international artists in all media.

How to Apply

The PIT Art in the Airport program accepts proposals from artists, performers, curators, and cultural institutions on a rolling basis. Proposals may include visual and performing art of all mediums. All proposals for artwork displays, performances, or other events at Pittsburgh International Airport or Allegheny County Airport are reviewed by the Manager of Arts and Culture and the Airports’ Art Advisory team. The Art in the Airport program’s mission is “To manage an art program of style, diversity and beauty to be enjoyed by our traveling public and employees that also promotes public art and enhances the airport environment.”

The Art in the Airport program is generously supported by contributions from The Heinz Endowments and the Richard King Mellon Foundation.
