Project News

April 14th, 2023 – MyPITID is here! All active PIT ID badge holders will receive an important email on Monday, April 17th with your MyPITID and ACAA Learning Academy login credentials. Be sure to access the MyPITID system and re-set your password so that you will be ready when the time comes for you to update your badge. Didn’t receive the email? First, check your junk/spam folder. Then contact your Authorized Signatory to confirm that the correct email address has been set up in MyPITID.

April 7th, 2023 – Wondering when you’ll receive your new PIT ID badge? If your badge is due to update between April 17th and August 18th, you will come to the Access/ID office to take your SIDA training and renew your badge as usual. If your badge expires after August 18th, you will be invited to visit the MyPITID kiosk to exchange your badge. Your Authorized Signatory will let you know when and where to go when the time comes.

March 31st, 2023 – Security Matters at our Smarter Airport and we’re counting on you to do your part! Be sure to watch the New Badge Training video assigned to you in the LMS system to learn everything you’ll need to know when we start to issue new PIT ID badges on April 17th. This short five-minute video will tell you everything you need to know to be ready for this important change to our PIT ID badges. Your company’s Authorized Signatory can provide your LMS login credentials.

March 17th, 2023 – To prepare for the launch of MyPITID, the Access/ID Office will be closed from Wednesday, April 12th through Friday, April 14th. There will be no appointments, renewals or badge pickups during the closure. Plan ahead for your renewal if your badge expires during this window.

March 10th, 2023 – Training for MyPITID will begin next week by invitation for specific user groups, and will continue through April 7th. This includes TSA, CBP, ACTS, AGC Operations, ACPD, Airport Operations and Authorized Signatories. If you are in one of these groups, watch your email for an invitation with details.

February 27th, 2023 – Plans for MyPITID takeoff are underway! As we complete our system testing phase, we are finalizing training and go-live plans for an anticipated April 17th, 2023 launch. Watch this site for detailed training schedules and information on how/when to receive your new PIT ID badge.

If your badge expires…

Between April 17, 2023 and August 18, 2023

You must complete an online badge renewal application in MyPITID. The renewal application may be submitted up to 30 days before your badge expires. You are then required to take a SIDA test in the Access/ID Office and will receive your new badge upon completion.

From Smart Plans to Projects: Your PIT ID Matters @ our Smarter Airport!

Transforming travel at our Smarter Airport begins with putting the passenger first. In order to do that, our team members have to get to the places they’re needed to support our passengers. Whether it’s in the terminal, on the airfield or anywhere in between, your PIT airport identification matters.

We’re putting our strategic plans into motion with tangible projects these days, and creating a new ACAA Identity Management System (IDMS) and revising our badging scheme. Our Access/ID Office will operate in a more efficient way, with increased data accuracy, improved customer service and a more secure way of processing and issuing badges.

We’re simplifying the color schemes of our badges, moving from five to just three, and ensuring the badging process is future-ready to support anticipated badge holder growth expected with our Terminal Modernization Project.

We’ve got you covered. Everything needed for access management will be available through a user-friendly, self-service portal, eliminating many paper forms and in-person visits to the Access/ID office. The new badge scheme aligns to industry standards and best practices, improves the ability to quickly see who is authorized to be in any area, and showcases PIT’s progressive view of the future. PIT airport identification matters for everyone in our Smarter Airport. As we transform travel, this project is another way we’re enabling, equipping and empowering our people to do just that.
